Hi, I built my PC from scratch and am having trouble installing Windows from a CD on an external drive. I’m using an Asus STRIX Z270-E GAMING motherboard. The videos I found mostly show USB installation methods, but I’m not sure what works best for my setup. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Press F8 or ESC to launch the boot menu, then choose the UEFI option (your USB drive name) and proceed with the installation.

It doesn't appear to open UEFI. Instead, it boots into BIOS using bootable drives and displays NVMe and an external CD player.

Turn off the Legacy BIOS setting and switch to UEFI only, then start the installation of Windows.
