Hi, I have CentOS and Kali Linux running as virtual machines inside Virtual Box. They functioned properly until I removed the CMOS due to an overclocking problem. Now the VMs don’t start, even though BIOS is enabled. The display shows a message: (VT-x is disabled in the BIOS for all CPU modes) with error code 0x80004005 and result code E_FAIL. I checked online but found only similar fixes suggesting to enable virtualization in BIOS. Details: CPU i5 3570K, RAM Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB DDR3 1600MHz CL10, BIOS version 1805. After updating the BIOS to the latest version, everything worked.

Check if "Intel Virtualization Technology" is listed in CPU Configuration. If present, turn it off, restart the system, and then turn it back on.

Thank you for your response. I saw an unusual issue where Intel's virtualization kept resetting to disabled mode each time I rebooted. Updating the BIOS resolved the problem.
