Problem with laptop GPU
i have an asus fx505dy with an rx560x, but when trying to run call of duty vanguard it only works on the vega 8 integrated graphics. i’ve tried everything and haven’t been able to get it to change. i made sure the drivers were updated, changed the gpu adaptor in the game settings which caused the game to restart but still used the vega 8 instead of the rx560x. i asked the game to use the rx560x via the graphic settings in windows, checked performance in task manager with another game, and confirmed the device manager says the gpu is working. i looked for a setting to set it as the primary gpu in radeon graphics software but couldn’t find one. i also turned off integrated graphics, which caused the game to launch but not start properly. if anyone has a solution, i’d really appreciate it.
Ensure your laptop is running the most recent BIOS update. DDU can remove all GPU drivers, and then manually reinstall them using the newest version from AMD's support page in an elevated command, such as right-clicking the installer and selecting Run as Administrator. What operating system are you using?
