Problem with lag in GTA IV gameplay
I know this is big topic. I've managed to start playing GTA IV (I bought it last summer steam sale), but game is naah. I change the graphics (low to very high) and the fps is the same 45-60, but it's feels like 30fps. When I move my mouse it's moving like on spikes (and ingame my mouse is slow, some problem with sensitivity?). Is there any fix? Watch Dogs on Ultra/High was better. Rockstar please let GTA V be better. GPU: GTX 670 | CPU: i7-3770 | RAM: 2133 Mhz HyperX Beast (16GB)
My 770 delivers about 95 frames per second at the highest setting with full resolution and no modifications.
I think it's all about your card. My single 970 performs well at 75-100 fps with a few mods, but GTA V is likely to shine thanks to its extensive development time.
Boost your CPU performance beforehand. GTA IV demands a lot from the processor, so upgrading it will enhance your gaming experience. Turn off the anti-aliasing feature as well, since it often leads to issues in this game.
They probably set up automatically via Steam! I’m using 45-60fps but it feels like 30, especially with the mouse movement. My GPU handles new games better at higher settings (1080p) while keeping the same frame rate, and it runs smoother than GTA IV. I didn’t overclock my CPU, but an i7-3770 (3.4GHz base, turbo 3.8) might struggle with GTA IV compared to what we’re talking about.
