Problem with internet connection on the device.
Hello. I've noticed some issues with my internet connection on my computer. When I'm at home, I use a wired connection, but when visiting others' houses I switch to Wi-Fi and rely on my phone's hotspot. Recently, my phone's charging port stopped working, so USB internet isn't possible. I tried using wireless charging while the mobile hotspot was active, but the adapter failed to connect to either my home or phone network. The hotspot shows "Network 5" but no connection appears. My device manager lists both devices, though I didn't plug the adapter in when taking the photo—I usually see a yellow triangle error then. I'm unsure what's going on and would appreciate advice before reinstalling Windows. Thank you.
When problems arise with internet or social interactions, I rely on this tool. It pinpoints key problems and works beyond just HP devices: https://support.hp.com/ie-en/document/c00813382 Hope it assists! -EnergyEclipse
I confirm we use wired connections. If you have one left, does wired functionality remain operational? If not, the concern likely lies elsewhere—there’s a yellow triangle warning about an issue, so check the specific error details on your Wi-Fi adapter and share them with us.
It wasnt showing up before, sorry There is the error for the wifi adapter.
The device driver isn’t functioning correctly. This implies you can view the network, yet can’t obtain an IP address or gateway details.
Every time I refresh, it confirms it’s completely current. I’ve removed it and reinstalled it multiple times.
Obtain the drivers directly from the manufacturer's site instead of relying solely on the built-in Windows search for drivers.
