Hey, I recently installed a new PC and have been experiencing severe internet problems on this machine (it functions perfectly on other devices in the house). The connection is completely unreliable—about 90% of the time it drops. However, using a VPN resolves the issue entirely. Websites and apps just fail to load. This happens both on Wi-Fi and Ethernet (PoE plug). I tried changing the DNS settings but got no improvement. My old PC never had this problem. All other devices in the house work fine. The specs are: Ryzen 5700X (originally listed as 7700X by mistake) TUF GAMING B550-PLUS WIFI II. If anyone has any solutions or troubleshooting tips, it would be greatly appreciated.

If the motherboard was the problem, would the VPN solve it? I'm really confused because I'm just starting out with networking.

Consider updating the latest drivers for your Wi-Fi chipset and test the improvement.

The B550 model exists, but I need more details about the issue you're experiencing to provide accurate assistance.

B550 isn't compatible with your CPU; it's designed for the B650 processor.

Have you saved the Wi-Fi driver files for your motherboard? Also, does your board model match the B650 if it’s a 7700x?

I messed up earlier, really sorry for the mix-up. That was my fault.

Sure, I understand. The TUF B550 Plus is fine.

Ensure you've saved the WIFI drives from your motherboard website. This is crucial.
