Problem with installing the AMD Stock Fan (spring-loaded screws)
Hi everyone, my CPU stopped working, so I ordered a perfect replacement with a new stock fan. After taking out the old fan and installing the new one, I'm facing issues fitting the spring-loaded screws from the new fan into the motherboard holes. The screws are a bit too far from their spots, but the old fan worked fine without moving the board. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Ensure the backplate is secured with non-conductive tape or another method. Perform tightening in a cross pattern. Follow steps 1, 4, 2, and 3. This balances pressure. Having screws on the top of the board will reduce the effort needed to maintain hold.
Be cautious while pressing firmly on the screwdriver handle when trying to tighten screws. If the blade tip comes out of the screw head, it could cause significant damage to the motherboard below. You might want to think about using a third-party cooler with simpler connections.
