I have an HP laptop equipped with a Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller. Last night I connected via Ethernet, and my router logged frequent drops every five minutes followed by quick reconnections within ten seconds. Everything functioned normally on my desktop and smart TV. I tried three different cables without any changes. What might be causing this issue? My router model is a TP-Link tdw8970 v3.

I faced a situation similar to this. It might not be certain, but it's worth checking if you're close to the available bandwidth and consider upgrading your router. You could be using a budget plan, an unreliable ISP, or a less reputable device. My advice is to first ensure your network card driver is current. Then, try disconnecting some components to test if it improves your connection. Let me know what you experience.

It seems the maximum bandwidth is 300Mb/s. Your links might need more than that. You may need to restrict certain devices.

I've tested connecting just my laptop to the router. The driver appears to be current. I also face issues with basic browsing—never reached full bandwidth.

Are you pairing this router with your modem together? @giwrgosp-

It seems your router includes software for managing bandwidth. See if you can access it on another device. The alternative might be a faulty network card inside your laptop.

It seems your laptop's internet connection isn't working well, and the Wi-Fi is also experiencing delays.

I don't have a direct view of your location, but you can check your HP laptop availability by visiting the official HP website or using their store locator.
