Problem with headset audio during gaming?
Hello everyone, recently I purchased a new headset for gaming, but I'm facing some issues. In multiplayer games, my teammates believe I'm using speakers instead of the microphone, and they can hear my gameplay sounds through the mic. Is there a way to adjust settings or fix this problem? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Headset is ASUS TUF H1
Thanks in advance
Hey there,
In Device Manager under 'Sounds, Video and Game controllers', toggle any device that says 'telephony' beside it. You will have to reboot after each change, but you can work through it in a few mins.
Hopefully that helps.
This appears to be a feedback issue; if connected via the front panel connector, you might attempt using the rear ones which are typically better shielded.
It's conceivable (but rare) the microphone is capturing game output as background noise; you can inspect the microphone input on the Control Panel to check for any activity during music or video playback (it shouldn't occur).
If that doesn<|pad|>, you can disable the microphone boost feature in Windows or activate Noise Cancelling if available. These adjustments are often located within the control panel settings for your motherboard audio input.
