Problem with headphone mic functionality.
I have headphones claiming they have a working mic, but only the audio plays. I've tried linking them to my monitor, the front PC audio jack, and the motherboard's audio jack. I also used an audio splitter, swapping the red mic jack with the audio jack and vice versa, but it still doesn't work. Please help me, as I prefer not to use a laptop for my microphone.
These are likely wireless headphones, possibly with a built-in amplifier or receiver. The splitter you mentioned is probably a USB audio splitter used to connect multiple devices. Check the system settings for input options related to audio sources.
