When I first started playing WWE 2K15 after roughly ten minutes, my GPU shut down and I lost connection to the monitor. After restarting my PC, I adjusted the power settings in the NVIDIA control panel from adaptive to prefer maximum power, which resolved the same problem I faced with Witcher 3. This also fixed the issue for about fifty minutes of gameplay before bedtime. The next morning I woke up and couldn’t even complete a match in WWE2K15 before the same problem returned. Can someone assist me? Also, this issue doesn’t occur with any other game.

Have you attempted resetting everything to its default settings to resolve the issue? EDIT: This includes adjusting GPU clock speeds and voltages. Also, @exshadowz, following your specific area will help you understand when a response is expected!

Start by maintaining the adaptive setting. Next, remove the 560 from your setup. You won’t require a separate PhysX card; it just adds extra heat. The 970 works well for running PhysX independently. What are your current temperatures?

Refers to the Nvidia Control Panel interface.

Unusually today my GPU began idling at 54, so I increased the fan speed to 50%, and it has since dropped to 35.

It'll idle at higher temps because you have the power management set to maximum performance and not adaptive. What that does is forces your video card to run at a higher, unnecessary clock speed than it needs to be when it's not even being used that much. I need your temps while playing games, so turn that setting back to adaptive and then get back to us. Take out that 560 while you're at it.

Your game performed well, achieving 60 to 62 degrees.

Your card features twin frozer v, which causes fans to shut down under heavy use. This leads to silence, though temperatures rise slightly during gameplay, and the fans start spinning when you play.
