Hi there - I’m looking for assistance with my PC that I assembled in September last year. I’m experiencing problems where high-end and some medium games crash during boot, causing the system to shut down completely and requiring a reboot. I can run lower-end titles like LOL, GI, MC, but loading games such as Witch 3 fails before the start screen even appears. This issue has been ongoing for months, starting around October, and I’ve tried various workarounds. However, since no one here has shared any new approaches, I’m considering returning to Nvidia and replacing the hardware. I’ve already done a DDU, reinstalled drivers, updated Windows, run Memtest86, but nothing seems to resolve it. I’m hoping someone can offer alternative ideas.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
Checking your BIOS version for the motherboard.
Two sticks of Corsair Vengeance 32 GB RAM available.
Do you have a link to this RAM kit?
You didn’t mention the case make and model or the CPU cooler.
I’ve done a DDU and reinstalled drivers.
Turning off the iGPU in BIOS, then rebooting and installing the latest GPU driver from AMD’s support site via an elevated command?
I’ve had fresh Windows installs.
Installing the OS and drivers while offline?
And more.
Can you explain further?
What temperatures are you observing during shutdowns?

1- 7E59v1A71 (released on 1/22)
2-
https://www.amazon.com/CORSAIR-VENGEANCE...C74WD?th=1
3- My setup is a lian li o11 dynamic evo rgb. i didn’t realize the case specifications would be important. My CPU uses a custom watercooled cooler.
4- I’m not sure if this one is right for me, but I disabled the iGPU in the BIOS to check if it would help, and it didn’t. After doing DDU or using AMD’s cleanup tool (both tried), I ran them offline and installed them manually—yes.
5- I didn’t install the OS in offline mode.
6- It’s a lot I can’t remember all of, but I reapplied thermal paste and pads to my GPU and CPU, ran OCCT to verify PSU issues, performed memtest86, changed my PCIe to 4.0 and 3.0 instead of auto, turned off iGPU to see if it caused the problem, enabled XMP profile and adjusted RAM timings, and so on.
7- I can’t consistently monitor temperatures during crashes. When the screen goes black and the PC shuts down, I’ve seen GPU temps around 35.0, 51.2, and 38.3°C respectively in my last post on another forum.
As of a few hours ago, I turned off my graphics card and managed to run a game I couldn’t play with my built-in graphics card. (It wasn’t fast or visually appealing, but that wasn’t the goal). Whatever it is, the problem seems to be a driver timeout on the GPU side.
