Hello, I'm facing an issue with my GPU artifacting. I own a 3060 Ti, but it came from a prebuilt Acer system using a blower-style cooler. I've cleaned it thoroughly and updated the drivers, yet the problem persists. I'm unsure if repairing it is worth it or if there are better options. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

It would be helpful to test the card on a different machine. You might want to monitor temperatures using MSI Afterburner, for instance. Rebuilding, reapplying paste, and re-padding could work, but you should prepare the correct pad thickness first. The build quality isn’t great. When does the artifacting occur? Perhaps some VRAM components are overheating. Edited October 2, 2024 by leclod

Thanks for your message. I've tested the card in another system too—it's the same issue. It started appearing unexpectedly, even when I was just composing an email without any stress. Now it shows during startup. The exception is in the BIOS menu. Any ideas or next steps?

The card appears to be malfunctioning, probably needs replacement. For temperature checks, you might try HWMonitor or HWinfo, though I suspect the VRAM is likely failing.

Thank you for the update. I see the device manager indicates the GPU was halted by Windows due to a reported issue (code 43).
