Hi! I'm trying to figure out what's going on with your cousin's PC. His GPU isn't loading properly, showing a red light, and his screen goes black after BIOS. When you swap in his GPU, it works but his own GPU doesn't. The fans are spinning and displaying an image but don't cool the board. After installing new CPU fans, his motherboard didn't power up at all. What might be causing this issue?

It's conceivable the connection for powering the GTX 1060 is damaged physically, probably from wear over time. The power source works well for a 3060, but the 1060 appears to be faulty.

Here’s the situation rephrased:

This is his initial PC, which I assembled for him. The graphics card he purchased came from a seller on the Facebook marketplace. It’s been two weeks since it was built and everything functioned properly until now. The last comment he made was about attaching some new RGB fans to the MOBO, but after that, the computer wouldn’t power on. Another concern is his PCI cable—he used an 8-pin version, so I connected a 6-pin one and added two more pins internally (see photo below). I’m wondering if there might have been a small issue with the connection or a fault in the cable that could have caused this.

These two pins aren't properly aligned. If this setting was enabled incorrectly, it could lead to damage.
