Problem with Gaming PC Frame Movement
Problem with Gaming PC Frame Movement
Newly constructed gaming PC experiencing issues:
Hello, I've been assembling desktops for some time, but this is my first dedicated gaming machine, so I went all in.
CPU: Intel i7-7700k
GPU: MSI 1080 GTX Gaming X 8G
CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken X62, Liquid Cooler
Sound Card: Sound Blaster Z/Zx
PSU: EVGA Supernova G2 850w, Modular
RAM: Corsair 32GB (16gb x 2 Sticks)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-270x Gaming 7"
OS: Windows 10
I'm encountering occasional freezes when streaming Netflix and experiencing frame drops occasionally. I've started Subnautica, and I'm also seeing frame stutters there.
I haven't adjusted any settings beyond the CPU and GPU, could it be related to something else?
Any assistance would be very much appreciated. I've built several desktops before, all connections are fresh, so I suspect it's not hardware-related. It might be a software issue I haven't investigated yet.
Regarding software, I've checked the manufacturer's site for each driver and used MSI Gaming App along with MSI Afterburner to monitor CPU temperatures during games (they usually stay between 25-50°C).
Reinstalling windows 10 might be the optimal choice. Ensure you obtain the most recent drivers for windows 10 and avoid downloading updates during testing. Additionally, consider adjusting windows to power settings for better performance.
