Hi all,
My gaming PC has recently started freezing/crashing while playing games. There's no input from anything else once the PC freezes and the only solution is to reboot the PC using the PC power button.
Weirdly, this only started while playing Amazon's New World.
I've linked a paste bin of my DxDiag if that helps? Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

New World has experienced problems with certain graphics cards.
they may occasionally crash or even stop working completely.
look into the game's forums for any discussions about adjusting settings that could ease the problem.

Thank you for your response.
Your PC becomes unresponsive during gameplay, and switching to New World resolves the issue.

Run DDU in Safe Mode to delete all graphics files and settings. Then reinstall the newest minimal driver package directly from AMD or Nvidia.

Hi, thank you for your question. DDU stands for Digital Distribution Unit, which is a system used to manage digital content delivery. If you're unsure about how to use it, let me know and I can explain further.

Just an update. I noticed my rig was covered in dust, particularly near the graphics card, fan, and heat sink. After cleaning it thoroughly and restarting, my PC still froze after a short gaming session. A GPU stress test showed the GPU temperatures reaching about 70°C, which caused the issue. I’m thinking the problem might be with the graphics card itself. Any good fixes besides replacing it?
