Problem with Fujitsu laptop starting Windows 10 via USB port.
Hello, my name is Christopher, I was born in the French part of Canada, so I understand my difficulties with English. Recently, I moved to the Philippines right before the Chinese invasion, as Canada is facing some challenges at the moment. Because my MacBook stopped working, I bought a 100$ laptop with a Celeron CPU. When I first used it, it kept restarting randomly. No matter how hard I searched on Google.com, I couldn’t find a solution—until I found just one option: update the BIOS firmware. However, I only saw Windows BIOS updates and installed Manjaro Linux from USB to replace Windows 10, thinking that was the main issue. Now my problem is this laptop won’t boot from the USB where I saved the Windows 10 ISO file. Using Woesusb/etcher/multiwriter/dd/and the default OS USB flasher didn’t work anymore—I’m not sure if it’s still the USB. Before I proceed...
Fujitsu A553/H
Bios version 1.12
USB SilverTec 16GB, same model I used for Linux installation...
In BIOS... the USB appears first in the boot order.
Legacy support is enabled.
Security boot is active, and there’s no excluded items list in the boot order.
During startup, I press F12 until I see something I can boot from.
I tried selecting USB HDD generic and pressed Enter. The screen went black for a moment before returning to the boot menu.
Also, I attempted to boot from the USB to flash the BIOS again, but it didn’t work.
Please help me.
Thank you.
