Repost from Steam forums due to lack of reply. I’m unsure if you missed any details—please confirm if there’s anything missing. I’ve been enjoying Farming Simulator for the last four months, but recently I’ve faced framerate problems on any map. No new mods or maps installed, so it shouldn’t be related. Previously, I maintained 60fps at maximum settings in Bjornholm and Coldborough Park farms—the two maps I play often. My setup includes:

- Asus PB 278Q 1440p IPS monitor
- Intel Core i7 4790k
- Asus GeForce GTX 970
- Strix Crucial MX 240GB SSD
- Seagate 3TB hard drive
- Gigabyte Z97 MX Gaming
- Corsair HX 750W gold PSU
- 8GB RAM

I adjusted settings like high hardware profile, dirt normal, antialiasing at 2, anisotropic filtering at 2, and VSync off. Despite these, I still experience issues. Even after lowering all graphics options to minimum, I’m now seeing 60fps on Coldborough Park Farm. The game quality has noticeably dropped compared to earlier.

I plan to remove all mods and run a baseline test using the original Bjornholm map at the lowest graphics settings. All tests used the "Benchmark Tool" with a fresh Test 1 map. Results:

- Minimum settings at 1080p: ~63fps average
- No screenshots included
- Benchmark AVG Fps: 197.7fps
- Test 2: 57fps, AVG 517fps
- Test 3: 65fps (1440p, VSync off, etc.)
- Test 4: 50.1fps at max hardware

Two months ago, I ran a full benchmark at 1440p with all settings enabled and got about 62fps—almost no variation. The fluctuations now seem random without clear cause.

Step 1: Inquire about the cost of a tractor from a store. Step 2: Express distress.

I’ve seen it often—people with lots of possessions tend to drop things a lot, but that’s not necessarily your issue.

That might be the problem, though seeing a drop from 60fps to 20fps in Coldborough Park farm feels quite sudden. I have several vehicles, many with modifications, so it could be related. Perhaps a loss of around 10fps would be okay. In my Bjornholm test map, I owned nearly all the cars a month ago and my frame rate stayed stable. My VRAM usage is only about half, and my RAM even less.

Absolutely, that's a noticeable drop in frame rate when you're close to many vehicles.
