I recently experimented with additional Windows tweaker tools beyond Win11Debloater. Now, borderless windows occasionally flash when I click, around 30% of the time, and it occurs roughly 90% of the time whenever I hold down the control key. I suspect the issue might relate to Ultimate Windows Tweaker, but I haven’t found a fix. I’ve tried turning off various tweaks in UWT and disabling v-sync via the Nvidia Control panel. Reinstalling Windows isn’t an option either. I also don’t want to rely solely on borderless mode due to this minor problem. Recently, I cloned my SSD onto a new NVMe drive, which didn’t cause issues until I used UWT. I have two recovery partitions, and I’m unsure if that’s typical.

Specs: Ryzen 5 3600, Asus A520-PLUS, WIFI, Asus RTX 3050, Ballistix, 2x8GB, 3600MHz, Kingston 256GB NVMe (installed OS), Samsung EVO 860, 500GB storage.

Screen Recordings: 2024-11-06 112559.mp4, 2024-11-06 112926.mp4

You notice a flashing effect when you interact with the window, displaying your taskbar and wallpaper. Sometimes the taskbar appears briefly before disappearing. On your left monitor, the application seems to open and close rapidly, moving up and down due to animation settings. Changing the settings to borderless fullscreen or using traditional fullscreen resolves the problem, though it causes the window to close completely when you exit.

I found a helpful Reddit thread. It was really stressful at first, but the steps worked. The advice was to open the registry editor via the keyboard shortcut and navigate to the right folder. Then locate the specific key and delete it. After saving changes and restarting the system, everything functioned properly.
