Hey everyone, I’ve got the current humble bundle with Far Cry 3 and Far Cry 3 Blooddragon. The key is for uPlay. I tried a few other titles and they functioned, but neither of the two games is compatible with me. After launching, I usually see a small pop-up, then a Windows troubleshooting window appears. That’s not helping at all. I attempted this workaround: crashing at startup for Far Cry 3 Blooddragon on Steamcommunity. It seemed to match my issue, but it didn’t resolve it. My system specs are: AMD A10-7850k CPU, GTX 970 GPU from Zotac (latest drivers 361.75), 16GB DDR3 RAM, and Windows 10 Home 64-bit. My friend with a similar setup uses a Gigabyte Windforce 970 and an i7-4770k. They’ve managed to play the games for a couple of years now. Unity crashes too, but they appear later after the GeForce logo. Possibly it’s just Unity’s issue. Thanks for your help!

Sorry, I’m not sure how to assist you. That’s why I didn’t choose any AMD parts for my current setup.

It's interesting that another friend has an AMD GPU and it functions properly. This makes me question whether it fits into the usual team color categories like red, green, or blue. Also, this friend purchased it with a bundle, which means it shouldn't be related to that. My main issue is with my CPU—it's a bit too basic for the rest of the system, causing significant bottlenecks, especially in demanding games.

That seemed fine. Thanks for the suggestion, though. After more troubleshooting, I think I'm onto something. I followed the guide and used the compatibility mode for Windows 8. It didn't perform perfectly and crashed after I changed some settings I probably shouldn't have made, but I'm making progress. I'll keep updating this post! If it doesn't work, I'll try the other approaches from that guide. Update! It functioned with a slight adjustment to the display settings. I set both executables to run in Windows 8 compatibility mode. Now I'll test it with the regular Far Cry 3, but I need to download that first. I'll follow up later with any changes. OK, Far Cry 3 also worked using the same method.
