Problem with Ethernet on the latest motherboard

You recently received an Asus Tuf Gaming B450 Plus motherboard. The Ethernet connection was initially functional, but after updating the BIOS from the official site, it stopped working. Everything else operates normally except for the Ethernet. You confirmed the cable and connection are correct since it worked on your laptop. You've tested all older Ryzen 3000 BIOS versions and performed a Windows reinstall each time without success. When you manually install the Realtek driver via USB, you receive an error stating "The Realtek Network Controller was not found. If deep sleep mode is enabled please plug the cable." Please, I understand you're in lockdown and don't want to waste a month without your PC.

Your BIOS might have unintentionally turned off the Ethernet controller. Open the BIOS settings and verify that it is activated.

You didn't change the BIOS by accident or activate the BIOS flash feature within it.

It seems you might need to return or exchange the board because it has a faulty controller.

It only worked before the software update... I also can't restore it for at least a month because I'm in New Zealand and we're under lockdown.

You might want to consider a full reset instead of another flash. Since you've already attempted a re-flash, a BIOS update issue could have caused the problem, and reseating the board might be the best solution.
