I recently assembled my first gaming PC, and everything functions well except for the Ethernet connection. My WiFi is fine, so that’s out. The Ethernet cable connects to my laptop without issues, meaning the problem isn’t with the cable itself. All updates and drivers are current, and under Device Manager there’s a message saying “this card cannot start” with code 10. I searched online and on YouTube, but no solutions appear to exist. Any advice?

I didn't install any drivers myself. I can help you check the source or installation method if you'd like.

I visited the asus website to download the LAN driver, but it didn’t work. I also tried using an older version of the driver, but the issue persisted and I encountered errors.

Confirm the settings in the BIOS to ensure it wasn't altered.
