Problem With ENB (Skyrim)
Problem With ENB (Skyrim)
Hey all! My Skyrim isn't launching. I've checked a few fixes and pinned it to ENB. I'm running v0.236. Using the default setup works, but applying the preset brings it up without showing anything. I'm starting with SKSE and have the high-res DLC installed. Mod Organizer is set up with the preset link: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/18941/.
In Skyrim.ini, there are some settings like Shadow LOD limits and audio cues that might need tweaking. The warnings file suggests a possible master mismatch—check it for more details.
Gameplay features include depth of field, blur effects, and shadow handling. The game runs on a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 with certain options enabled. Let me know if you need help adjusting anything!
I believe it would be better to share this on the SKSE forums—it appears connected to the topic. I discontinued using it because it caused too many issues, even though I had enjoyed it.
Paste your enblocal.ini in your Skyrim folder to pastebin and link it here.
I encountered a problem when I first used enb on my new system. The game would crash either during the splash screen or while loading. It seems I was missing the latest Direct X version. This might be similar to what you're experiencing, but installing Direct X could resolve it.
It ran fine yesterday and other DX9 games run fine too. This is the ENB INI that Opethfeldt provides: http://pastebin.com/TkyQiH9T I noticed that ENB without a preset also doesn't load EDIT: I tried another ENB Preset and it also doesn't work. I tried that preset also through the normal launcher (Non-SKSE) and it also is just black screen. Also I can hear the sound of the main menu with all the setups EDIT2: Apparently there was no enbhelper.dll in the enbseries folder, so i added it, but it still has the same effect EDIT3: Default ENB v0.266 without a preset also doesn't work. When I disable ENB (d3d9.dll) then it works All previous edits were tested without SKSE to be clear
The game would work well without the latest Direct X, as that was the specific requirement. If other enb versions run fine, the issue likely lies elsewhere. I’m not sure exactly what’s wrong—enb can be quite sensitive. It took some time to locate a suitable option that balanced performance, appearance, and ease of setup using Phinix Natural. You may want to explore another enb just to confirm if the problem persists across all versions or is limited to Opethfeldt, possibly due to installation issues.
No, I don't have information about whether you used the wrapper or injector version.
