I understand you're going to explain things clearly. I already have this in mind. I’m using a brand new 7 disk, not used before. I plan to upgrade from 7 to 10 later. Don’t suggest jumping to 10 instead of 7. I’ve tried it myself. My system is Windows 7 64-bit, with regular updates—not Pro, Ultimate, or Home. The disk plugs in and loads the files, but then Windows reports a failure and mentions a hardware problem. I keep retrying, but it seems like something’s wrong. All my parts are connected and functioning properly. I have the right cables and everything is plugged in. It keeps showing this error message. Where’s that annoying cursor when you need it? It keeps telling me to eject the disk, reinsert it, and restart the computer. But it doesn’t work. If I can’t get 7 to function, I’ll force it out, replace it, and reset everything. Sorry, Bill—I’m really frustrated but I actually like your products. FUUUUUUUCK MAI LIIIIFE

You can obtain Windows 10 and convert it into a bootable disk. A USB with at least 4GB of storage is required. Visit microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 for details.

Windows didn't download properly. Possible issues could be hardware or software-related. Microsoft recommends trying it yourself.
