Hello, I'm facing an issue with Steam. When I begin downloading a game, it will fetch a few megabytes, then stop abruptly showing 0/0 bytes downloaded. The only workaround I've found is to power off the router for ten seconds and then restart it, which restarts the download of everything in the queue. However, once I add something to the queue, the same problem resurfaces. I've reached out to Steam, but they seemed unhelpful, suggesting firewall checks and other fixes. They also mentioned my connection type—Mediacom—and noted that tethering data from my phone to my computer resolves the issue. P.S. Let me know if you need anything else.

You've handled the issue well by identifying it as a problem with your Mediacom potato modem/router combo. Suggest they upgrade to a different model for free or have it connected via bridging so you can use a better third-party router.

I found another router and have never connected one before, but I’m sure Google will help me out soon after this CS:GO session.

You're thinking about needing to reach the admin console for both routers, are you?
