Problem with Dolby Digital Plus audio playback can occur due to various factors.
I have an Acer Aspire V3 - 572 laptop that came with Dolby Digital Plus software. I prefer its performance most of the time, but when multiple audio sources play at once it only boosts one, usually the one currently selected. For instance, if two browser tabs are playing, the active tab will sound better while the others remain quiet, just like when Dolby Digital Plus is off. This happens with various windows and apps, not just tabs. My concern is whether this is the expected behavior. I’m not very experienced with such software, and I’m unsure if it’s intentional or not. If it isn’t meant to work that way, how can I fix it? The OS has changed from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, and the issue continues in both versions.
