Problem with disk not removing from Mac storage device
I purchased a 16-inch MacBook Pro with M1 chip. When connecting flash drives or external hard drives, I encounter the error: disk not ejected properly. I searched for solutions but none resolved the issue. Have you experienced the same problem? Should I be concerned about the health of these external drives? You can find more details here: [Apple Forum Thread 83688](https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/83688) and here: [Apple Forum Thread 679836](https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/679836).
Consider relocating the whole hard drive to the trash. It might seem intimidating, but simply right-click and choose eject.
Execute the "sync" command in the terminal to observe its function. If it completes without action, it indicates your USB drive is ready. This command ensures all disks complete their current write operations; if it takes longer than expected, a disk may be experiencing a lengthy write cycle and you should pause before proceeding.
