Back in the past I owned an HD 7850 and played CS:GO at over 120 FPS. Now I upgraded to a GTX 960 and everything functions, but the performance is terrible. On every setting I try, I’m stuck at around 80 FPS max even at 720p. My CPU (Phenom X4 @ 3.1 GHz) barely runs at 50%, and my 4 GB RAM sits around 600 MB, not even close to being full. It seems there’s an issue with the software. I’ve checked the 3D options and turned off energy saving, Shadowplay, and Nvidia streaming. It must be something related to the game settings. The 7850 worked perfectly, so something’s definitely wrong here. Need help?

Update the drivers, remove 7850, and monitor GPU usage. Worst case scenario: everything fails.

I don't have a CPU load per core. I can tell you the overall CPU utilization, but not how it's distributed across individual cores.

All previous issues have been resolved. Latest drivers are up to date and the card is fully customized. GPU activity remains well below 20%. CPU usage during gaming stays around 60%.

Configure the startup flag to "-thread 4" and observe the results.

It seems there’s an issue here. The problem isn’t clear, but it appears your graphics card might be limiting performance despite the card’s capability. Let me know if you’d like help troubleshooting further.

It usually works fine, but something seems off on my device and I'm completely unsure what might be causing the issue.

Even with a slowdown, it won’t significantly affect your frame rate. Ensure the game’s integrity is intact and adjust graphics settings in the graphic control panel (such as catalyst or nvidia) for 3D applications.
