Problem with CS:GO gameplay reported.
Hey everyone. I've been noticing a strange issue in CS:GO lately. On most maps (except Nuke areas), I'm getting around 100-240-300 fps, but now maps like Lake and Baggage are only hitting 50-90 fps. This hasn't happened before—I usually see the game running at 30-120 fps when I start it, but then it drops to around 30-120 again after a short while. I'm trying to figure out what's going on. My GPU is a Gigabyte GTX 670.
Possible update might have broken the game. Check with Gaben or similar. Make sure you have the newest driver.
Have you checked updating GPU drivers, confirming game files, performing an antivirus check, or identifying CPU-heavy programs? Csgo demands more from the CPU than it does from the GPU; any other process consuming CPU power can cause FPS to decrease.
I rarely change the drivers since they often caused issues before. Although I understand CSGO demands a lot of CPU power, I haven’t faced any problems. I currently have 50 tabs running in Chrome without encountering this problem. I could check the files if needed.
La Chrome consomme principalement de la mémoire, non le processeur. Ouvrez l’Explorateur des tâches (Ctrl+Alt+Del) et observez les programmes qui utilisent le CPU lorsque la performance ralentit.
