Hi,
My PC has begun crashing to desktop randomly, especially after playing CSGO for about an hour. Once it crashes to desktop, it becomes more frequent. It only happens with CSGO and not other games. The event view doesn’t show any relevant issues.

I’ve tried several fixes: uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, switching OS versions, adjusting GPU and CPU settings, resetting the PC, rolling back updates, checking game file integrity, reinstalling CSGO, reseating RAM, and more. Still nothing resolved the problem. I’m considering seeking expert help.

My system details: 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900KF, 16GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, EVGA 850W power supply.

Am I keeping track of the temperatures? It would seem strange if this was the problem and not occurring elsewhere.
Have you looked into the game-specific forum or reddit to find out if others are experiencing the same problem?
I don't play the game myself, but isn't it an "online only" game where you're always playing against other players live? It might be related to internet dropouts or ping issues.

I tracked the CPU and GPU temperatures, and they stayed within normal ranges, not enough to trigger a crash to desktop. I checked steam forums without finding anyone with a comparable issue. Since it's an online game, it only crashed during online sessions. My internet connection is strong, so I don't think it's the network problem. It's possible my internet could be affecting the game, though usually lag in games like CS:GO leads to returning to the main screen rather than crashing.

I anticipate it will 'rebound' to the lobby or home, as you note.
Review Event Viewer in the critical and error sections to identify any event IDs. Examine Reliability Monitor for activities near the time of the problem.

I checked the Event Viewer but didn't find any errors when the app crashed.
🙁

Did you say that in the initial message? I'm sorry. When this occurs, are you operating with a 16GB of RAM? Are you employing tools such as Riva for monitoring?

The task manager remains active, keeping memory usage around 50-60% during gameplay. It's unclear if it rises above that level prior to the crash, as the failures are rare. :/
