Problem with CS GO on your PC
Ok I've been playing CS GO for a while and it keeps crashing my whole PC, I think its overheating my CPU. I use the stock cooler and I don't overclock but this is the only game that does it. When it crashes it freezes my screen and make a buzzing sound. I don't have the cash for a Cooler right now and would like to play CS GO again. (I think its a CPU problem, after I crash I get this giant fan and cool my CPU with that and my game doesn't crash)
I possess an i5-4690k GTX Windforce 660 with 8GB RAM, an Asus z97-A 2TB hard drive, and a 750+ 80+ power supply.
You can ask for assistance, I understand you experienced a crash while playing CS GO near the end of the match.
Your temperatures are quite elevated, but they're not extreme enough to risk shutdown. Consider reinstalling your cooler for better performance.
86C is nearing its thermal limit, isn't it? You might have made a mistake. Could the cooler not be firmly connected to the motherboard, ensuring it touches the CPU completely? Was thermal paste already applied to the cooler or did you add more than needed on the CPU? The stock cooler should suffice for keeping the i5 cool under stress. Is the cooler spinning correctly? Did you plug it into the correct pins? If none of these apply, consider using isopropyl alcohol (over 90%) to clean it, watch a tutorial on YouTube, and apply new thermal paste—any Arctic formula works. This could cost up to $10, while a new cooler for Hyper Evo 212 would be around $30.
