Hello, I checked my i7 11700k on two motherboards—Z590 Tomahawk Wi-Fi and Z490 Gaming Plus. Both BIOS are current. Running with just one stick of RAM on Dimma 2 still caused issues: red CPU light on Z590 and white light on Z490. Anyone have ideas on what to try?

Did you purchase the processor? It looks like it won’t work if the BIOS isn’t compatible with both motherboards.

It functioned properly until the day before yesterday. I purchased my PC in February 2022.

However, after a few weeks dealing with this problem, I’ve been turning the PSU on and off repeatedly 200 times until it starts up without the CPU light. Recently, I swapped out my desk for a new one, which forced me to shut down the PC frequently—often for over 30 days to prevent those 200 restarts. Since then, I’ve assembled the new desk and the computer remains unresponsive, stuck on the CPU light.

Verify the motherboard connector pins. A few might be twisted because the white light on the Z490 indicates the 11700k is receiving power. Is the PC connecting to BIOS or starting up?

It's odd that the CPU stops working. \/ What’s happening? The system isn’t posting and keeps freezing when the CPU light appears?

No pins on either motherboards are warped, no BIOS detected, nothing loads after white light on Z490 and red light on Z590, black screen. Tested without GPU plugged into the display port on the MBOARD

Did all BSODs provide clues about the CPU? Consider resetting CMOS.

I've experienced a few instances where the PC would freeze occasionally, especially during memory clock timewatch bsod.
