You're dealing with a motherboard that has a CPU socket labeled 2011-3, and you're trying to fit two different Intel processors into it. The E5 2640v3 and E5-2699v3 both claim compatibility for the same slot according to Intel, but they differ in size. The 2699v3 won't fit, which suggests there might be a mismatch in dimensions or socket type. Double-check the physical dimensions of the sockets and ensure the processors match exactly. If needed, verify the exact dimensions against the manufacturer's specifications.

It's not too late to return the mobile for a refund, as these items have caused me no real benefit. There are several problems with them, and many people in this area believe they're getting a great deal, but that's just not true. I can list the issues if you'd like, though it seems the brands have been mostly problematic.

Both CPUs are E5 v3 and use the same FCLGA2011 socket, which the motherboard claims to support, so I don't see why it shouldn't fit. I'd blame the motherboard, never heard of that brand before either.

The components differ in dimensions but fit together due to standardized design.
