Problem with CPU fan failing to spin on X370 Gaming Pro
hi all im having this issue where ive switched from using a nzxt aio to a air cooler and no fan ( tested both the noctua cooler fan and a known good corsair) plugged into the cpu_fan1 header. is there a bios setting somewhere ive changed in past to disable the cpu fan as i was using an aio. its been so long since i had to go in this bios so i cant remember tbh. i did notice that when i adjusted the fan speed in bios (hardware monitor) it did ramp up case fans in a hub conected to sys fan3 though.. thanks for any help
I didn’t need to restart the BIOS, I’ve already adjusted other configurations. It’s hard to recall exactly what I did ten years ago or what I should redo, but your main idea is solid. If all else fails, this is my go-to plan. I’m not in a rush to get that PC up and running again since I just built a new one—it’ll just be a backup second machine. Thanks again!
