Problem with CPU cooler installation.
Problem with CPU cooler installation.
I bought a Ryzen 5 2600x and it works well with the Wraith Spire cooler and an A320M-H MOBO. When trying to install the cooler, the screws don’t go in because they have spirals that prevent them from securing. I have the right screwdriver but the design of the screws is making it difficult. Anyone have any suggestions?
Is the backplate positioned accurately behind the board? You must fasten it to the backplate, not into the motherboard. The fasteners should be inserted into the corresponding holes with slight force. Tighten them in a cross pattern (top right, bottom left, top left, bottom right) applying a few turns at a time.
They're designed to snap into place. You must exert force to push them firmly against the backplate. When they grip the plate, the springs will shrink as you tighten. Use uniform pressure and screw them in a cross pattern (opposite sides).
