Consider checking the specific BluRay drive model you have. It could be that the USB-C ports aren't delivering enough power independently, the cable is faulty (verify with another functional computer), or another issue exists. Try connecting the drive to a different device using the same USB-C cable, or switch to a reliable data and power cable (not all USB-C cables support the same speeds). Then confirm it shows up in Device Manager.

It's the Buffalo BRUHD-PU3-BK model. The connection cable appears to be fine, since it functioned on the earlier motherboard. I'm assuming this isn't a motherboard problem. I also checked the BIOS settings.
