I’ve faced some annoying boot problems with my PC recently. It often requires several tries to get it running, sometimes it fails completely, other times it starts but is extremely slow. At times it boots fine, yet the sound quality is severely affected. After roughly 20 minutes of troubleshooting, it usually works perfectly—until I shut it down again.
When I manage to boot, I frequently encounter the Windows error screen, and sometimes disk errors appear, though these don’t seem to resolve the issue.
Here are my system details:
• Motherboard: MSI B650M
• GPU: AMD Radeon 7800XT
• CPU: 7800X3D
• PSU: Corsair CX650
• RAM: 32GB
What steps I’ve taken so far:
• Installed updated drivers, including reverting to an older version.
• Haven’t checked the temperatures of my components yet.
• Both the hard drive and SSD are new, so storage isn’t suspected.
• I’m aware of known issues with the B650M and 7800XT, but I don’t know which BIOS versions to update.
