Problem with Chrome and YouTube streaming at full speed.
I'm having trouble viewing YouTube videos in 60fps. When I switch to HD, they seem to change to 60fps but the decoder still reports 30fps. My MacBook Pro with OS X Yosemite works on both Safari and Chrome, though Chrome on my Windows 8.1 isn't functioning well. Both Flash Player and Chrome have the latest updates installed. I also tried Internet Explorer on my Windows 8.1 PC, which managed to play at 60fps.
To view 60fps content, the creator must record at that frame rate. Existing files won’t automatically convert to 60fps.
Ensure videos are uploaded in 1080p at 60fps; otherwise, the 60fps choice won't be available
Some Yt videos may not work smoothly at 60 frames per second if you turn off certain enhancement tools or extensions. Try disabling them again.
Earlier I mentioned Chrome runs smoothly at 60fps on my MacBook Pro, yet it struggles on Windows 8.1. I ran the same video on both systems using the same browser, but only one works properly.
