Hello, I just reinstalled Chrome to the latest 64-bit version (37.0.2062.103 unknown-m). I’m facing difficulties with fullscreen YouTube videos. There’s a thin white line appearing on the right side of my screen. When I move the mouse fully across it and hover over it, clicking anywhere doesn’t affect the video—whether an ad is playing or the video is running. Double-clicking doesn’t exit fullscreen. This issue is shown here: http://i.imgur.com/OHI3EO9.jpg Important to note: you won’t see the white bar when viewing the image in your browser because it blends with the scroll bar. Save the image, open it in fullscreen, and try again. (On Windows, right-click the image → preview → view slide show.) I want to be sure this isn’t the same problem that fixing the pepper flash in plugins resolved: http://i.imgur.com/4U9wNBO.png Unlike that case, my video fits the screen but still has just a thin vertical line on the right edge. I’ve tried other fixes for that, but the problem continues. Any suggestions or advice? Thanks!

What's the issue? You don't notice anything obvious.

Save the image, launch it within Windows Photo Viewer, tap the slideshow option. A thin white bar will appear on the right side of the display.

I believed it was only an issue with the screen capture.

The YouTube recommendation suggests using the HTML5 player whenever available. Flash isn't included in Chrome by default anymore—Chrome comes with it built-in. You might need to remove Flash from the control panel and reinstall it. I changed from Chrome 36 (32-bit) to 37 (64-bit), which triggered the problem, so the cause was likely the update.

It seems you had two Flash setups—Flash Player and Flash Player 12. You removed both and installed the newest Flash version, yet the issue continues. You also tried turning off hardware acceleration, which didn’t help. Possibly a bug in the latest 64-bit release? I checked recent discussions about this Chrome update and related problems, but nothing came up.

Positive updates and challenges. The main win was locating the solution. The key drawback is having to give up something for it. I suspected this would be the case. My setup uses a 27" 1440p display, so I adjusted the size settings in the control panel under "Make text and other items larger or smaller." When I switched to smaller (default) and then medium, the white line disappeared during fullscreen video playback. The issue only appeared when I chose larger. That’s a dilemma—either I miss the ideal screen size or accept this persistent white line. I’m curious if another fix exists. Also, "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" is already selected, though all options are hidden and can’t be changed due to the program’s 64-bit architecture.
