your 2-year-old am5 build has been facing several problems recently, mostly with windows. I encountered a major boot loop issue, where the computer keeps restarting. One fan is completely unresponsive, and the machine struggles to repost. I suspected a RAM problem since the new RAM also caused the same issue. I’m worried about updating my BIOS after all these troubles, fearing it might damage the motherboard during the repost process. I’m unsure if I should be concerned or just give it a try and hope for the best. I attached a photo showing the fan stuck in the boot loop. Sometimes I see a blue flash or a steady blue light on the bottom right of the motherboard when it’s stuck.

Build details: Gigabyte Aorus B650m Elite Ax, 7900xt, Ryzen 5 7600x, Corsair 5600MHz Vengeance RAM, Corsair RM750 PSU. I’ve checked all cables, swapped the PSU and RAM a few times, cleared CMOS three times.

Boot loops often stem from RAM or BIOS problems. A recent BIOS update has resolved similar issues for me.

The specifications on the Gigabyte product page mention a function named "q-flash plus" that lets you update the BIOS without powering up the system.

You found the solution and shared your experience clearly. It seems the problem resolved once you performed the q-flash, but you're still facing issues when powered on afterward. The fact that you managed to fix it after rebooting three times is great. Let me know if you need more help!
