Problem with Bluetooth on MacOS

when i turn bluetooth on, the menu bar shows a connected icon even though nothing is linked. connecting my magic mouse fails. disabling bluetooth takes a long time and causes problems. this happens on a macbook pro 13" running mac os mavericks version 10.14.3.

Faced the same issue a year prior with an iMac. It turned out the Magic Mouse failed.

It still works even when the mouse is turned off.

Your Apple Watch links with various devices on its own, so if you own one, you can verify if it's causing the issue.

Unfortunately, I don’t have a device. My iPhone is close, but it worked even when Bluetooth was turned off.

I saved it from a time machine backup yesterday, and everything is working now...
