The Bitlocker key is likely kept in the cloud. If you share the same Microsoft account on both devices, you'll have access to the Bitlocker key across them.

My other machine doesn't connect to the internet, and when trying to access it with BitLocker, I either type the password at startup or use the USB stick containing the BitLocker key. Also, I've verified my Microsoft account but don't have a saved BitLocker key there?
