Warning: PG-13 content present in the video. As observed, FPS drops significantly. This isn't related to game settings; I adjusted everything including v-sync. Frames appear to lag only during rapid shooting or explosions. I reinstalled the game twice without any changes. The game is now barely functional. Anyone have suggestions for improvement? Running: 6850k @3.6ghz Founders edition GTX TITAN XP 64gb Gskill Ripjaws @3200mhz (4 dims). I'm confident we can eliminate a hardware bottleneck.

Are you saving to a worn-out hard drive? Is your internet connection unreliable? Is the recording program’s frame rate adjusted to the game’s? What I’m experiencing is possibly lowering the resolution or bit rate. Please forgive if nothing works. Unless the program has errors, it might be having trouble writing the video to the disk. You can forward your issue to the programs section for further help.

The HDD is just a year old and all my other games (including BF1 & BF3) work fine on it. The issue isn’t the internet connection since the frame rate drops sharply from 200 to 5. It stays the same whether I record or don’t record. Performance remains unchanged even when the software is turned off. The problem isn’t related to resolution—even at 720p it still had the same trouble. It seems the game itself might be faulty, and I’m not sure where to start but this was a major issue when it launched on PC.

Have you attempted to turn off Origin's in-game menu? It could also be related to a driver issue—consider using an older version.

The menu is currently turned off, but I can provide more details about the driver.

You seem to have a powerful CPU and GPU, which likely isn’t the main issue. The problem appears to be limited to just one game, suggesting driver or software-related problems rather than an OS-level issue. Since newer updates haven’t been released recently, it’s possible the game itself is causing trouble. It’s still unusual, but I hope you can identify the cause and confirm it’s a solid BF game on the Frostbite engine.

Have you explored V-Sync? The frame rate might be excessive.

Of course, just like that. It makes sense now.
