Problem with audio playback.
Problem with audio playback.
I set up Ubuntu on my computer and watched a video, but the headphone sound didn’t work. Appreciate your help ahead of time.
Resolved the problem by identifying a faulty port on the front panel and opted for the MMO audio jack port instead.
Linux liveCDs often lack complete drivers for every hardware component. Typically, you need to perform some searches. I used to know how to do that, but it’s been quite some time. Certain pieces of information are stored in repositories—similar to app stores where everything is free—and there are many different formats. This seems to be specific to the motherboard. The front panel audio likely follows a unique route, possibly involving two controllers of different kinds. If you have a working driver for one, you might not find it for another. Any issues during boot, setup, or audio logs? I’m not sure where Ubuntu keeps these details, though I suspect it does. Someone will probably clarify. There might be some explanation like “what the hell is this audio thing?! I don’t have a driver.” Moving on…” If the problem is driver-related, there could be a guide that resolves it.
