Hi, I recently used my PC and noticed it had no sound. Checking the device manager under Sound, Game, And Videos Controllers revealed that the Realtek HD Audio option was missing. I attempted to download the drivers for my motherboard, but those didn’t work when I tried downloading them from the website. I found an option about adding legacy hardware and used it, but it caused a crash (RTKVHD64.sys - SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED). Anyone know why this happened and how to fix the audio issue? It mentioned that something was fixed, but the issue remains. I also attempted to uninstall Realtek HD Audio via Device Manager (it was hidden), reinstalled it again, but now it isn’t even listed in Device Manager—not just hidden devices, but not even showing up in Programs and Features. Only the Realtek Audio Driver is visible there. Would a fresh Windows installation be able to resolve this problem?
