Problem with audio on Windows 11
When I chose Diagnostic instead of Selected startup in MSConfig, I faced an issue where the right side of the Task Bar didn't display any items after clearing Load System Services and restarting. Windows opened but key elements like Sound, time, and Internet were missing. The Control Panel's Sound setting indicated no audio was installed, so I enabled Audio from Services.msc, which resolved the problem. Now I have sound functionality but not essential features such as Internet connectivity. It seems necessary to disable each service individually and restart to identify the problematic one.
but, why?
from a BSoD the worst option would normally be having to manually power down and start again.
this conclusion seems clear to me.
how have you reached this understanding?
do you require assistance with capturing screen captures and uploading them for review in the discussion?
The restarting issue was due to the Diagnostic Startup setting, a common problem that can only be fixed with a recovery reboot, which I performed. Everything functions properly except for audio, as discussed in the thread. All devices are recognized and the latest drivers are installed from the manufacturers' websites. The problem appears to be an MS Service, but I’m unsure which one it is (refer to the previous discussion).
if the operating system is working properly, the problem likely stems from corruption.
and what could cause you to think this one service has suddenly begun creating problems for you? if you're not following the right steps and not maintaining regular backups, it makes sense why you might be hesitant about a new installation, yet you haven't made much headway in solving your issue.
OP claims they've already tested a "USB sound card" but still didn't get any audio.
They've kept refusing to share details about the device or its setup.
Additionally, they haven't provided any information or screenshots from the Sound or Device Manager windows.
