Problem with audio driver on my Lenovo Legion 5 Pro 16IAH7H
Laptop arrived two weeks ago. My main problems are: random Alt Tab failures that freeze the machine, same with a friend who uses a last-gen Legion 5. Both have issues mainly during gameplay—Valorant is the focus now, though not directly linked. I also experience a mic leak when using the combo jack. The freezing problem is less bothersome than the mic issue. Whenever I play with friends, they mention they can hear everything happening in my game. My Logitech G Pro X is wired with a DAC; it works perfectly. However, the combo jack on my laptop keeps causing problems. I've tried installing Realtek audio drivers from Lenovo support, checked all updates for Windows and Lenovo, verified settings on Win 11 Pro, cleaned the system using a media tool after every new PC setup. I reinstalled drivers from Lenovo's site/vanity/updates, but the issue persists—especially when using the combo jack. One video shows plugging in via combo jack, another via G Pro DAC. I also looked up other Lenovo models with Realtek and found they work fine, except for outdated apps and missing separate speaker/headphone controls. The mic input volume seemed lower than before, so I reverted to the original drivers (6.0.9272.1). The problem returned immediately after reinstalling that version. I found a driver here: https://support.lenovo.com/gb/en/downloa...rkstations. I’m curious because the old driver behaved like it was installing properly, similar to my Helios 300 laptop—uninstalling current drivers, restarting, then reinstalling. It restarts again and installs quickly. The audio devices still don’t stop working even briefly during installation of the newer version. This process feels incomplete, and I’m seeking advice or a theory on this. I checked the Legion community but got no help with my specific case.
