Problem with ASUS X99 Deluxe not starting up!
I own a custom-built PC that was functioning normally. I purchased an off-brand SSD from Amazon. After shutting down the machine and connecting the SSD via a SATA port, I tried to boot it. The system powers on but shows no display. There’s no motherboard logo, and I can’t access the BIOS. When I turned off the PC and unplugged the SSD again, the issue persisted. Windows is installed on a Samsung M.2 SSD, with two additional WD Black HDDs. After removing the HDDs and clearing CMOS, I only plugged in the new SSD, but it still wouldn’t boot. The problem seems to stem from the recent SSD installation. Any advice?
Without any drives connected, expect a warning about no operating system available. Reset CMOS, shut down the machine, unplug it from the power source, show the screen, then remove the CMOS battery for at least half an hour. Also, hold the power button for 30 seconds to remove any leftover power. You might also attempt reinstalling RAM and test with two modules to check for POST issues.
The Q LED code on the seven-segment display at the bottom of the motherboard is QJQJQJQJQJQJQJ.
