Hey Guys, I have a Asus maximus formula VI motherboard and am currently experencing random PC switch offs. I have done alot of testing and replacement my self on my PC and possibly narrowed down to the motherboard. I think this all started when I replaced my AIO to a Air cooler. My AIO was running hot at the time and throttling my GPU. PC shutsdowns everywhere. With or without HDDs and on unraid as well. So it's definately not a software issue. I did update my bios to the latest one and that didn't fix it either. Luckyly it didn't shutdown during it's install. I memtested the rams and they are doing good. And I bought a 4 gb ddr3 just to be sure and it shut down again. Changed my power supply to a new one as the back was creating a electric field that I could feel to the touch. It was low but, I could feel it. And that didn't fix it either. Made sure all the connections are secure. Replaced thermal grease of CPU and GPU (Which lowered gaming temps down by 13 degrees). I have a dead battery in there and to remove it I need to take the whole black plate and front plate off. Should I do so to clean it. Or am I missing something ? And I did run Prime95 everything looked fine to me but, not sure about the aux numbers people were saying they are just random temps. Do let me know if I could provide you with anything else. If it is the motherboard please do advice me where to find resources to help me fix it myself if possible or last step would be taking it to a technician. It seems the system is likely to crash and restart rather than display errors or BSOD codes. To prevent this, follow these steps: Open 'Start', select 'Run', type "sysdm.cpl" and press Enter. Go to the 'Advanced' tab, disable 'Automatically restart', click OK, then exit System Applet and close the Control Panel. Reboot to apply the changes.
It often happens when it restarts; it doesn't switch on right away. After a short delay it powers off and then restarts, making the post sound before starting again. Thanks for your response. I just tested this to see if it helps. At least I now have backup components. I plan to play a game session to check if it turns off again. I'll keep you updated on the results.
It stopped working again. Please tell me if you have any other ideas. I've already tested it in Unraid with all drives disconnected, and it shut down after some time. It seems the issue might be hardware-related.

I previously had a 750W Corsair unit, but the issue still lingers. The case offers ample airflow thanks to its size. I’ve noticed occasional speedfan glitches, though temperatures remain stable when it works. I also cleaned any excess thermal paste that might have formed on the CPU.
It seems Speedfan might not be functioning properly. Development has paused since 2016. You could attempt a community effort to fix it, as some members are actively working on it.
Tried it out without realizing support was gone. The PC just shut off again. Oh, and I forgot my CPU cooler is a Deepcool Assasin III—I thought it would be enough for now, but it might end up turning the system into a server someday. I’m planning to play online games through Unraid.
