Are you using the GPU with an overclocked setup? Yes, some games react poorly to overclocked GPUs. I use a Strix 1080 and Star Wars Battlefront, but it crashes during overclocked runs while working fine in normal settings.

I don't have a personal experience, but you can check your Windows version by opening the Settings app and going to "About" or by running "winver" in the command prompt.
